MOBA's 2017 Regular Season Schedule Set

At long last, the wait is over. Peachtree City MOBA's 2017 regular season schedule has been released. As important as last season was, being it MOBA's inaugural season, this season is arguably more important, as the team is finally moving into their permanent home at the MOBA Soccer Academy, along with all the amenities that come with it, including locker rooms, weight rooms, classrooms, and, most importantly, the MOBA Soccer Stadium. The brand-new 1,000 seat stadium off Highway 74 will be the site for some of MOBA's biggest games of the 2017 season.

May 13th @ Nashville SC U23 - Season Opener

Few games hold more importance than the season opener, and this season is no exception as MOBA will travel to Nashville, Tennessee to take on Nashville SC U23 in Nashville's first ever match. PDL affiliate of the USL's Nashville SC, the U23 squad was announced as a new franchise in the PDL back in September, as the USL side looks to build the structure for player development that feeds right into the professional team. Heading into Tennessee, MOBA will be looking to prey on a young team and start the season off with a quick road victory, but nothing will come easy, as Nashville will have high expectations in their inaugural season.

May 18th @ South Georgia Tormenta FC - In-State Rivalry

One of the biggest games of last season was MOBA's first head-to-head matchup with their rivals from Statesboro in game six. Peachtree City went into South Georgia on a mission to make the first strike in the series and MOBA did just that, as Iain Smith knocked in a goal off an assist from Jonny Evans in the 67th minute, and MOBA closed out the game with a 1-0 victory. Tormenta FC, along with their fans, have not forgotten about that game, and will be looking to reconcile what happened. If the intensity is equal to last year's game, this matchup between the two second year clubs will no doubt be one to watch.

May 20th vs. Mississippi Brilla FC - Home Opener

Once again, Peachtree City MOBA and Mississippi Brilla FC will face off on the pitch in a two-game season series. This time, however, MOBA will host the first match, which will also be the inaugural match at the MOBA Soccer Stadium. Brilla won last year's series against MOBA with four points, picking up three points in the season opener in Clinton, Mississippi, and one point as the teams tied 1-1 when they played in Peachtree City.

June 27th vs. Tri-Cities Otters

The season series against Tri-Cities Otters last year was huge for MOBA, as both games were firsts for Peachtree City. The game in Johnson City was MOBA's first ever victory as Omar Jarun scored two goals, and Jarun and Jessey Hein scored late to propel MOBA to their first home victory with a final score of 2-1. The Otters will be looking to fight back in 2017 as they are coming off a 1-10-3 season, and MOBA will be toward the top of their hit list.

July 3rd and 8th vs. South Georgia Tormenta FC - In-State Rivalry

The home game against Tormenta FC was just as exciting, as the two squads kept swapping blows, but a winner could not be decided, as the final score was 3-3. Despite the outcome, the match contained an outstanding story, as MOBA player Todd Fidler, in his first match with the team, scored two goals, including a rocket from thirty yards out. MOBA will be looking to notch their first home victory against their biggest rivals, and with two opportunities to do so in back-to-back games, the odds are in Peachtree City's favor.

July 15th vs. SC United Bantams - Season Finale

The season finale for Peachtree City was one to forget last season, as MOBA fell 6-1 at Carolina Dynamo. Last year is in the past, however, and MOBA will be looking to close the 2017 regular season on a high note with a home victory against the Bantams. SC United swept the season series last year, with victories at home, 3-2, and on the road, 2-1. MOBA will have three opportunities this season to take the lead in the overall series against the Bantams, with additional matches at home on June 13th and on the road on June 24th.
