MOBA Announces New Youth Clubs

Image
In a sport that prides itself on development and growing players within a franchise to compete at the highest level, one advantage that a team can have is to create a youth academy for young players to grow their talents in a professional environment. The best clubs, from Atlanta United to Manchester United, all have youth clubs for local athletes to play on and grow as players, and as of February 16th, Peachtree City MOBA will be joining that prestigious group of clubs. MOBA announced on Thursday that they will be introducing youth clubs for ages U16, U17, and U18/19 that will play and train at the MOBA Soccer Academy upon its completion. The teams will all play in the Georgia state youth soccer leagues, where placement will be based on the history of playing of all the players who sign on with the teams, as the overall goal is to reach the top tier of competition as soon as possible. Each age group will have two teams, one male and one female team, with ages ranging from 16 to 19.

One of the joys of the great sport of soccer is that no matter what time of year it is, you can always find soccer somewhere, whether it's the PDL in the summer, MLS from spring to fall, European leagues in the winter, and college in the fall. No matter where you look, you never run out of soccer to watch, and with spring fast approaching, you can add one more item to the list, as the high school soccer season is about to kick off. In Peachtree City specifically, soccer has played an integral role in the area. With the two local high schools being so close, and the success between both schools' programs, it is no wonder the rivalry is so strong.
